CHRIS LAMBERT- FOUNDER & CEO, LIFE REMODELED
Chris Lambert is the founder + CEO of Life Remodeled, a nonprofit that works with communities and organizations to create neighborhood revitalization that lasts. For seven months, he lived in a Liberian village and raised needed resources for a well, farm animals, and a new school building. Upon returning to the U.S., he founded a church in a Detroit suburb. Lambert obtained a marketing degree from Indiana University, a MDiv and doctorate from Fuller and Gordon-Conwell theological seminaries, and he is the recipient of Building Design + Construction 40 under 40, Crain’s Detroit 40 under 40, and Smart Business Dealmaker of the Year awards. He lives with his family in Detroit, Michigan.
Where it comes to neighborhood revitalization in the city of Detroit, there is a lot of talk but not not enough walk. Life Remodeled is absolutely certain Detroiters have all the talent they need, but many don’t have access to all the opportunities they need to thrive. Therefore, Life Remodeled repurposes vacant schools into one-stop hubs of opportunities for entire families! They fill these iconic buildings with the best and brightest nonprofits and collaborate to make incredibly significant and long-lasting impact in Detroit neighborhoods that would never have been possible alone.
Organizational Needs: Life Remodeled is looking to connect with people who are interested in Detroit neighborhood revitalization. Additionally, they are about to begin coaching nonprofits in other cities how to create and sustain socially impactful opportunity hubs. That said, they are currently searching for the right person to lead the process of writing a comprehensive "playbook" that will provide inspiration, lessons learned, relevant information and practical guidance.
